I had a lot of great memories of my trip to Japan.
I will never forget my wonderful host family,
my buddy Hitoshi, my kyudo lesson,
my sightseeing trip around Fukuoka, and the delicious food.
But the most memorable part of my trip to Japan was
my visit to Keiai High School.
I will never forget my first step into the cold classroom
and I saw “Welcome to Japan, Isaac” written on the black board.
Although I could not understand even the simplest of Japanese,
the students tried to talk to me in English
even though it was not their mother tongue.
I thought I would feel lonely in the school,
but the students made me feel welcomed and comfortable.
I even made new friends. I was really happy
when I could come back to Malaysia with more than just memories.
I will treasure the two little bracelets and the scrapbook of photos
that was given to me.
Not to mention all the sweets and souvenirs from the host family.
When I came back to Malaysia,
the thing about Japan I missed the most is the cold weather.
As Malaysians, we always loved a cool, rainy day.
But if I ever were given the chance to visit Japan,
I will definitely visit my buddy Hitoshi, his family and his school.
This cultural exchange has opened my eyes to a whole new world
beyond the borders of Malaysia.
I really enjoyed every minute of my trip.
The only downside to this program is that
I had to say “goodbye” to all the wonderful people of Japan.
I will miss all you and I hope we will meet again.

せっかくできた留学生とのご縁です。
これからも交流が続くことを願っています。
